Tour the Capitol

Our Arkansas State Capitol building is an awe-inspiring architectural marvel of which the magnitude of its history can be felt by all who pass through its monumental halls.

Constructed between 1899 and 1915, the Capitol is home to both houses of our State Legislature, as well as the Governor’s office and 5 other state constitutional offices.

There you will discover many incredible and informative historical displays, documenting a multitude of facets of our state’s rich history. Popular exhibits include, “Call of Duty: Arkansas at War”, “Mentors & Models”, and “Standing for Arkansas”, the stories behind our official state symbols.

The Capitol also houses The State Capitol Gift Shop, a post office and The 500 Grill, a casual café which serves breakfast & lunch, and is open Monday-Friday.
